Undocumented Student Success Week

Theme: Our Stories. Our Strengths. Our Future.

Join us for the 10th Annual Undocumented Student Success Week at Santiago Canyon College (October 19-22), a district-wide initiative in partnership with Santa Ana College dedicated to uplifting, celebrating, and supporting undocumented and mixed-status students.

This year's theme, Our Stories. Our Strengths. Our Future honors the lived experiences, resilience, and contributions of undocumented students and their families. Through storytelling, community engagement, education, and advocacy, we recognize the unique strengths students bring to our campuses while reaffirming our commitment to creating equitable pathways toward academic, personal, and professional success.

At SCC, we stand alongside our undocumented and mixed-status students and want every student to know they belong here. Our campus community remains committed to providing support, resources, and opportunities that empower students to thrive. Through partnerships with SCC and SAC departments, community organizations, and campus advocates, we continue working together to break down barriers and foster a culture of inclusion, belonging, and success.

As part of the California Community Colleges system, which serves one of the largest populations of undocumented students in the nation, our week-long programming highlights the importance of community, access, advocacy, and student empowerment. We invite students, faculty, staff, administrators, and community members to participate in events that celebrate undocumented student experiences, provide valuable resources, and strengthen our collective commitment to educational equity.

In addition to SCC and SAC programming, the California Community Colleges Chancellor's Office (CCCCO) will also be offering virtual workshops and events throughout Undocumented Student Success Week. While these sessions are not part of our local programming, students, faculty, staff, and community members are encouraged to explore the full schedule of statewide opportunities available through the Chancellor's Office.
