This information is designed to be an exploration resource, but don’t forget that the Transfer Center is here to help!

The University of California (UC) system is a group of world-renowned public universities across California. UC schools are known for their strong academics, research opportunities, diverse student communities, and preparation for graduate school and professional careers.

California community college students make up a large portion of UC transfer students each year, and the UC system has pathways specifically designed to support transfer success. By completing transfer requirements at a community college, students can save money while preparing to transfer into competitive majors and earn a bachelor’s degree at a UC campus. Many UC campuses also offer dedicated transfer centers, housing communities, mentorship programs, and scholarships to support transfer students throughout their journey.

The web sites of individual UC campuses provide a wealth of information about their history, traditions, academic distinctions andsocial contributions as well as a compendium of facts, figures, maps and pictures. * UC San Francisco offers graduate/professional programs only, not undergrad degree (BA/BS) degree programs.

The California State University (CSU) system is the largest four-year public university system in the country, with 22 campuses across California. CSU schools are known for offering strong academic programs, affordable tuition, and a major focus on career preparation and student success.

The CSU system is one of the most transfer-friendly pathways available. Many students transfer to a CSU after completing lower-division coursework at a community college, helping them save money while working toward a bachelor’s degree. CSU campuses offer a wide range of majors, support services for transfer students, opportunities for internships and research, and connections to careers throughout California and beyond.
