The County will call you for a phone interview; it might come from a blocked or unknown number, so be sure to answer!
- They’ll ask for more details about your application.
- After your interview, you’ll be assigned a caseworker and get their information by mail.
Tip: If you miss the call, check your voicemail and call back quickly to avoid delays.
Submit any required documents to the County for verification. Examples of documents you may need to provide include:
- Copy of your photo ID
- Pay stubs
- Rental or lease agreement
- Financial Aid award letter
- Your class schedule
Tip: Upload or submit your documents as soon as possible to avoid delays in processing your application!
Your assigned caseworker will review your application and verify your documents.
They will notify you if you are approved for CalFresh benefits and let you know the amount you qualify for. If approved, you will receive your EBT card by mail!
To keep receiving your CalFresh benefits, you are required to submit a SAR 7 report (Semi-Annual Report) six months after your initial approval.
- If you do not submit this form, your benefits will end.
- You will also need to complete a renewal application every 12 months to continue receiving benefits.
