Description:

Phlebotomy Technicians are in demand as one of the fastest growing occupations in healthcare. Launch your career as a Phlebotomy Technician, collecting blood samples from patients in a hospital, clinical laboratory, medical office, or clinic. Through lectures and hands-on training, learn what you need to know about the circulatory system, venipuncture technique and specimen collection, risk factors, complications, and quality assurance. This course provides a complete learning experience-with 48 hours of classroom instruction and a 40-hour hands-on externship, which prepares you to take the National Certification exam to become a Certified Phlebotomy Technician 1 (CPT1). Certificates are awarded upon successful completion of the course.


 Fees:$500 payable to SAC Community Services (Non- refundable deposit) $1500 payable to AUMT institute
Exam Fees: $125 payable to National Healthcare Association (NHA)
License Fee: $100 payable to the State of California
 Identification: Valid Driver's license, State, or school ID
 Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent
 Age:  18+
 Materials: Student responsible for own scrubs (any color)
Students are responsible for remaining payments to AUMT Institute.
