​​Summer Advantage Academy is A No-Cost Initiative Designed to Help Incoming Students Succeed ​​from Day ​One!
​​The Summer Advantage Academy is a collaborative effort between faculty, staff, and administration with the goal of assisting students in the successful transition from high school to college. Students participating in the Academy will gain a true advantage by receiving college success tips, gaining reading and writing strategies for mastering college-level materials, learning about our programs and services, receiving an interactive tour from our current students, meeting other incoming students, and familiarizing themselves with the SCC campus, all before their first week of class. In addition, by completing the program students will be awarded priority registration in their second year of college.​
​How to Receive Two Years of Priority Registration:
  • Complete the Early Welcome Program during your Senior Year in High School. 
  • Attend the Summer Advantage Academy. Choose from either of the following single-day sessions:
​Session 1: August 14  ----- Session 2: August 15
Sessions are held at SCC campus from 9:00am until 3:00pm. Lunch is provided to students that attend the entire session. Earn 2nd year of priority registration at SCC. Limited spaces available!
​Gain the Advantage! Space is limited! Deadline to register is July 28, 2023. Register for your session by visiting www.sccollege.edu/apw
How to Register for Summer Advantage Academy:
  1. Log on to www.sccollege.edu/apw
  2. Enter your SCC-Student ID and Date of Birth
  3. Click on “Continue”
  4. Click on “Make Appointment”
  5. Under appointment type-Select” “Summer Advantage Academy”
  6. Click on “Find Appointments”
  7. Select a session. Sessions are either August 15 or August 16
  8. Select “Summer Advantage Academy” and input contact information
  9. Click on “Continue”
​You’re done! You should receive an email confirmation that you have registered for your session. Please keep for your records. No further follow up is needed.
