Estimated Expenses for Admission

A part of the international student admission process requires that F-1 visa applicants show sufficient funds to sponsor their education in the United States. For this reason, we require a bank certification letter to confirm the applicant has enough funds to cover the estimated expenses.

To receive a Form I-20, a minimum of $25,515 must be shown to cover the annual estimated expenses. This amount will vary from the fees shown above as it is an estimation. The amount of $25,515 is not paid directly to the school but is used to estimate the total expenses one can expect to spend while studying at Santiago Canyon College for one year.

Important:

  • All F-1 international students must enroll full-time, or in at least 12 units for each fall and spring semester.

  • Students who applied and begin their program in the summer session must enroll full-time, or in at least 6 units for the summer session.

If an applicant needs to defer their program start date, the first deferral does not require an application fee. Additional deferrals will require the applicant to pay a new $65.00 application fee.

If you are inside the US and trying to pay the application fee, please call the Cashiers Office at 714-628-4727 to make a payment over the phone.

Parking Permits will be required for all students attending the Spring semester 2023.

Student virtual parking permit sales for Spring 2023 will begin January 22, 2023. This gives students two weeks to buy their permits before the Spring semester begins. Please use the following link to make your virtual permit purchase: https://rsccd.thepermitportal.com/

Students will be given an additional two-week grace period after the semester starts before campus safety & security will issue citations for no permit in student lots. Students will have a total of 4 weeks to get prepared before parking enforcement is in effect on February 20, 2023.

Students will be reminded that although there will be no citations issued for permit violations until February 20, 2023, warnings and citations may be issued for other violations such as students parking in staff parking spaces.
