Q: Is the library open?
A: The physical library is not open. But you can access the remote services online at the Lorenzo A. Ramirez Library.
Q: How can I search if my textbook is available online? I usually check it out from the library reserve collection.
A: Unfortunately due to the temporary library closure course reserve textbooks are not available at this time. Please contact your professor for information about how to access the textbook material if you have not purchased the textbook(s) and other resources required for the course.
Q: Can we check out laptop during this period?
A: If you need access to a computer/laptop, please email Silvia Lopez at Lopez_Silvia@sccollege.edu to schedule a pick-up appointment. You must have a confirmed pick-up appointment to be allowed on campus. Check the campus page for current information.
Q: My library materials (books/course reserve textbooks/ DVD's) are overdue. Can I renew library materials online or will I have a fine?
A: Students should not be worried! Just return the book when campus is open to students again. You can also drop off books in the drop box in the front of the library.
Please note that if you had late fees before the library closed those fees will still apply.
Q: How do I renew my regular books?
A: For regular books, if you wish to try, go to our Search Discovery System and sign in with your WebAdvisor ID username and password. Then select My Loans, under your name on the top right-hand corner, to see the materials you have checked out and to renew books.
Q: How am I able to access Noodle Tools for creating citations for my research paper?
A: Access NoodleTools and other resources from the Lorenzo A. Ramirez Library homepage. You will need to create an account in NoodleTools if you do not already have one.
