ORANGE, Calif. - Santiago Canyon College (SCC) launched its newly redesigned website on Monday, April 6. The website address remains the same at sccollege.edu, with a refreshed design, improved navigation, and enhanced accessibility features to better serve students and the community.

The updated website reflects the college's ongoing commitment to improving the online experience by making it easier to find information about academic programs, student services, campus resources, and campus news and events.

"Launching the new website represents a shift toward a more student-centered, mobile-first digital presence for Santiago Canyon College," said Kimberly Perna, Director of Academic and End User Support, Information Technology Services, Rancho Santiago Community College District. "Today's prospective students often experience a college for the first time through its website, usually on their phone, so it was critical that SCC meet them where they are."

The website was developed on the Modern Campus platform, providing a flexible foundation that supports ongoing updates and improvements. The redesign prioritizes a user-first experience with simplified menu structures, reduced visual clutter, and direct access to commonly used resources such as admissions, financial aid, class schedules, and student services.

The site is designed for use across devices, with mobile-friendly functionality, improved search tools, and consistent page layouts that help users find information efficiently. Clear organization of academic and career pathways supports prospective and current students in navigating their options.

"First impressions are important, especially for prospective students who may be exploring college for the first time," Perna said. "The new website is designed to be welcoming, clear, and accessible to all users. It reflects SCC's diverse community and helps students understand the opportunities available to them."

"For many students, the website is the starting point for accessing support," Perna said. "Providing a reliable, easy-to-navigate, and up-to-date resource directly contributes to student success."

"What I am most proud of is how the team remained focused on improving the experience for students," Perna said. "The project reflects a collaborative effort across the college."
