Business @ SCC

Across Southern California, the need for employees with advanced business and computer-related skills is booming. On one hand, the Business and Professional Services sector is Orange County's largest, employing nearly 255,000* people and accounting for over 18 percent of the county's total payroll employment.

On the other, tech industry employment in the Los Angeles-Orange County Metropolitan Statistical Area totaled 288,000 while occupations totaled 298,000, suggesting a regional shortfall of nearly 10,000 jobs in 2017, according to CompTIA, the world's leading technology trade group.

To top it off, because business and technology skills are critical to the operation of businesses in all industries, opportunities for employees with these skills exist in all sectors.
