Santiago Canyon College Foundation Names Snover Uppal as New Board Member


​Business Owner and CEO to Serve on Santiago Canyon College Foundation’s Board

(Orange, CA) - The Santiago Canyon College Foundation (SCCF) has appointed Snover Sethi Uppal to its board of directors. The foundation, a registered non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, raises funds to support the college and its students through the leadership of a nine-member board of directors.

snover uppalUppal is a lifelong entrepreneur and business owner. She and her husband Micky are the previous owners of Uniq Computer Systems, Inc, one of the top value-added reseller companies in the nation. In that role, Uppal worked to distribute for top computer technology brand names, including Toshiba, IBM, HP, Compaq, Xircom, Intel, and more. In 2012, Uppal founded Chaileaf, Inc, a tea distributorship that imports tea from India. She serves as Chaileaf’s CEO.

With over a decade in experience of starting businesses from the ground up, Uppal has also worked in taking an existing business and turning it around into a profitable enterprise. She also purchased the UPS Store franchise located at 8502 E. Chapman in Orange (across the street from Santiago Canyon College). In this role, Uppal runs the day-to-day operations of the store and has been successful in turning the store into a profitable business.

"Her background with business and leadership will be a terrific asset as the board of directors works to support the college." Uppal attended Delhi University in India, where she earned a B.A. and M.A. in psychology and an A.A. in computer science. When she isn’t busy managing the UPS Store or Chaileaf, Inc., she has been an active volunteer for both the Parent, Teacher, Student Association (PTSA) and foundation of McPherson Magnet School, El Rancho Charter School and Canyon High School.

Uppal resides in Orange Park Acres with her husband and daughter and is also a member of the OPA Women’s League. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.

“As an active member of a community I feel proud to call home, this is my opportunity to give back and make a difference. Developing new skills, building on existing experiences and supporting a team for the betterment of the community is something I am proud to be involved in,” stated Uppal.
