DEADLINE TO REGISTER: 7/24/2025

This Secretary of State approved class will prepare you to take the exam again by reviewing all relevant Notary law. You will take the official notary exam directly following the class. Your commission must be current to qualify. Renewing notaries must take the exam before their commission expires, otherwise they must take a six-hour seminar.

 

  •          A $45 material fee covers Seminar Guidebook, SOS handbook, Proof of Completion and notary application. 
  •          No one will be admitted after 12:45 p.m.
  •         Renewing Notaries are required to take the exam and be fingerprinted again. Serious conviction may disqualify               applicant. 

 

 Registration:

 4:00-5:00pm

 Exam:

 5:00-6:00pm

 Application:

 Notary Exam application provided in class

 Payment:

 $40 check payable to Secretary of State
$20 re-take fee

 Identification:

Valid state issued driver's license or state issued ID with photo. US or other foreign government passport, US military ID.

 Requirements:

Legal resident of California (military excluded) 

 Photograph:

 2x2 passport color photos

 Age:

 18+

 (2) #2 pencils & face covering
