At SCC Student Health & Wellness Services (SHWS), we are committed towards creating a healthy learning environment at Santiago Canyon College. With the prevalence of e-cigarettes, vaporizers, and continued smoking methods, we want to help our campus understand how this impacts the health of individuals and our communities. According to the Center for Disease Control (2018)¹, cigarette smoking remains the leading cause of preventable death and disability in the United States, despite a significant decline in the number of people who smoke. SHWS has the resources to work towards a 100% Smoke & Tobacco Free campus and we need your help! E-mail Beth Hoffman hoffman_beth@sccollege.edu to get involved in the coalition to build a smoke & tobacco free SCC.
