Santiago Canyon College (SCC) is a dynamic, award-winning Southern California Community College within the Rancho Santiago Community College District. Tuition Cost Comparision

  • At $9,384 per year, our annual tuition is 70-75% lower than the annual tuition fees at most 4-year universities, which costs between $45,000 - $60,000.
  • By starting the first two years at SCC for the lower-division courses (required for your bachelor's degree),  our students save up to $61,710 in total tuition. ​

​​   EASY ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS​   

  • Unlike most universities, SCC does not require SAT/ACT scores to apply.

  • Our minimum GPA requirement is 2.0, compared to a minimum of 3.0+ at the universities.

  • Our English Language Program (ELP) does not require English Proficiency (TOEFL or IELTS score)for admission.​​

​   TRANSFERABLE EDUCATION

You can attend classes at SCC and transfer the credits you earn toward your bachelor's degree. Our courses are designed to be transferred to four-year universities. SCC also offers associate degrees that provide a solid foundation for transferring to four-year universities or professional training. Additionally, SCC has transfer programs that guarantee admission to four-year universities for those who complete the requirements.
Two transfer paths are available: the California State University (CSU) or the University of California (UC) system.​

                  • Completing any of the 28 Associate Degrees for Transfer at SCC will guarantee admission to all 23 California State Universities (CSU).
                  • For those interested in transferring to one of the six participating UC campuses, SCC offers the Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) program for students who meet specific requirements.​

Our campus is located in the City of Orange, California, named one of the 50 Safest College Towns in America by SafeWise Report. Being In the heart of Orange County, SCC is close to many entertainments, prestigious universities & local attractions. Hollywood, Disneyland, museums, shopping centers, national parks, and every lovely OC beach are just a short drive away!

The Associate in Science in Business Administration for Transfer degree provides students with comprehensive business education in the principles and practices of all phases of business. A student graduating with an Associate of Science in Business for Transfer may transfer to a four-year institution to complete a Bachelor’s Degree. 

​Completion of the requirements guarantees students the ability to transfer to any CSU school in any area of business. Students will be accepted to a California State University campus to pursue a baccalaureate degree and preparation to pursue a career in the field of business, industry, or government.

​​Computer Science​​

Computer science courses are designed to meet the varying goals of students interested in employment or education in the computer field. The computer science courses provide instruction in low-level and high-level languages, intermediate and advanced techniques in programming, and hardware​ organization.​

There are courses on specific languages for professionals who want to supplement their skills with the knowledge of a current programming language (C++, Visual BASIC, Java). Also, an associate degree can be earned by those students desiring to transfer to a four-year institution with a major in Computer Science.​


Biotec​hnology

Biotech​​

Biotech is booming, and there's no better way to get in on the explosion of jobs than with a degree in Biotechnology from Santiago Canyon College. In just three classes, you could be certified and ready for an entry-level position in this rapidly growing field! To serve this need, SCC offers a range of opportunities for students to gain hands-on experience working in the field of biotechnology. Additionally, successful students in these programs gain access to internships and entry-level job placement through OC Biotech Education, a regional partnership designed to improve educational opportunities and job placement within the OC biotechnology industry. ​

If you're looking for a high-powered degree in a high-paying field, a certificate in biotech might be just what the doctor ordered!



Water Utility Science

Water Utility Science​​​

Water professionals are in demand in virtually every city, county, and state. The expanding population and aging infrastructure place increased urgency on municipal water and wastewater concerns. Meanwhile, technological advancements in this field have opened doors to bold new prospects in analysis, treatment, and testing. Water Utility Science students at SCC learn from industry-trained faculty using the latest, workforce-relevant facilities and equipment. Coursework encompasses the history, technology, and practical application of treatment techniques, leading to 12 distinct degrees and certifications. SCC students also receive custom online test preparation covering five career-focused state licensing exams.

The SCC's Water Utility Science Internship Academy provides access to paid and unpaid work-study opportunities with local utilities. Often, these full-credit “auditions" lead to full-time employment with the host company.​
