High School Students: Library Use Policies

Any high school student is welcome to use the Santiago Canyon College [SCC] Library's print materials in the library (excluding Course Reserve materials). Borrowing privileges are available to a high schooler if his/her parent or guardian: 

·         lives or works in the Rancho Santiago Community College District service area

·         provides written permission on a High School  Student Library Use​r Application, available at the Circulation desk 

·         registers as a community user

Registration of Parent/Guardian as a Community User

·         Register on-site at the library Circulation Desk

·         Present two (2) forms of identification showing current home address including one that is a photo I.D.

·         Community user library card is valid for one year from the date issued

High School Student: Library User Application      

·         Parent or guardian and student complete and sign the  High School​ Student Library User Application, available at the Circulation Desk

·         The student accompanied by parent or legal guardian submit completed application in person at the library Circulation Desk

·         student must also show a valid photo identification when submitting the application     

Services available to registered high school student library users

·         Borrow library materials (excluding Course Reserve materials)

·         Place a “Hold" on SCC library material

·         Request print materials (excluding Course Reserves) from Santa Ana College Library

A registered high school SCC library user will present both: 1) a valid photo identification; and, 2) the parent or guardian's community user library card to utilize any of the above services
