English as a Second Language Assessment Procedures
Individuals interested in taking classes in the ESL program must first take a placement assessment before enrolling into a class. The assessment is given to help determine which class level would be best for the learner. The assessment takes approximately two hours.
Assessment days for the Spring 2019 semester
Monday and Wednesday 5:30 pm (Please arrive by 5:15 pm) at CHAP
Tuesday and Thursday 12:00 pm (Please arrive by 11:45 am) at CHAP
Friday and Saturday at 9:00 am (Please arrive by 8:45 am) at CHAP

High School Program Assessment Procedures
Students must first take a placement assessment to register for High School, Adult Basic Education and Reading classes.
The test takes approximately three hours.
Assessment days for the Spring 2019 semester

Tuesday at 9:00 am or 5:30 pm, SCC U-80
- Wednesday at 9:00 am or 5:30 pm, CWPC
Individuals should bring unofficial school transcripts on the assessment date, if available. Once a student has taken the assessment, he or she will be asked to schedule an appointment with a counselor to review the assessment results and enroll in classes.
