How much do noncredit classes cost?
All continuing education classes are Tuition FREE!
Who can enroll?
Adults 18 years of age or older may enroll in continuing education classes.
May I get admitted into continuing education classes if I am under 18 years of age and concurrently enrolled in high school?
You may be admitted by a special request made by your high school and with the approval from our administration.
When is the last day to register in continuing education classes?
Classes are Open Entry/Open Exit and have a continuous enrollment policy. Students may enroll at any given time during the semester provided there is space available in class.
How long would it take me to earn a vocational certificate?
You can earn a certificate that prepares you for a career in a high demand occupation in one year or less.
What is a GED?
The General Educational Development (GED) Certificate is a certificate that is equal to a high school diploma. In California, people who are 18 years of age or older are eligible to take the GED test.
How do I get a student ID or a WebAdvisor ID?
Visit one of our registration offices and register for classes to obtain a student ID and a WebAdvisor ID.
Do you offer the GED test?
No, we only offer free GED test preparation classes to help you prepare for the test.
How many credits can I earn toward my High School Diploma if I take/took college credit classes?
For each 3-unit credit course you completed and passed at an accredited college, you will receive 10 high school credits.
How long will it take me to graduate from the Adult High School Diploma Program?
It depends on how many credits you must complete and how often you attend classes.
How much does it cost?
The Santiago Canyon College-Division of Continuing Education offers a Tuition FREE High School Diploma Program. All classes are 100% free.
Can I register for classes online?
Students who are currently attending may register online for the following programs: Short-Term Career Education, Older Adult Program, Health and Wellness, Adults With Disabilities, Workforce Preparation and Online Classes. New students wishing to enroll must visit our website at www.sccollege.edu/OEC or one of our continuing education facilities to register.
Do I need to purchase books?
Students enrolled in English as a Second Language classes are encouraged to buy books, which are available at the bookstore.
How do I get a copy of my transcripts?
Transcript Request forms are available in the Admissions and Records office, counseling office and online. A transcript is a complete list of all courses taken and grades received. Transcripts are kept in the Admissions and Records Office and are considered confidential. Copies of transcripts may be released to another school only by the request of the student. Requests should be submitted to the Admissions and Records office.
When will class schedules be available in the registrations office?
Typically class schedules are available in the registration offices 4 weeks prior to the start of a new semester/session.
