Strengthening Transfer Education & Matriculation in Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics!

(STEM)² Program Advantage:

Research Opportunity: Active (STEM)² program students are eligible to apply to a PAID Summer Research Experience at Cal State Fullerton. 

Counseling: Specialized STEM academic and career counseling services are provided to help students create an individualized semester by semester plan that focuses on major preparatory coursework and transfer requirements.

Peer Mentor Support: Cal State, Fullerton peer mentors are located in SCC's STAR Center to help our STEM students with additional support and answer questions about what its like to be a STEM student at a major university. Click here for their schedule and contact information.

Workshops: are provided by Peer Mentors to help students gain understanding of STEM careers and what it takes to be successful!

(STEM)² Program Requirements:

  • Be interested in transferring to a 4-year university in a STEM major.
  • Fill out a (STEM)² Program Contract.
  • Meet with an SCC counselor each semester.
  • Attend at least 2 sessions per semesters from the following:
            - STEM Workshops
            - Peer Mentor Workshops
            - One-on-One peer mentor contact
  • Maintain satisfactory grades in all courses.

  • Special transfer admissions application support and consideration to Cal State, Fullerton.
  • SPRING Admission consideration to Cal State, Fullerton.
  • (STEM)² Resource Center at Cal State, Fullerton.
  • FREE Transfer Day Orientation.
  • FREE CSUF Preview Day w/ CSU Fullerton Faculty.

 To join the (STEM)² Program, simply review and complete the Student Contract - found here - and submit your contract to the Counseling Office front desk (room D-106).
