Lady Hawks Named National Soccer Champs

Orange—The Santiago Canyon College women’s soccer team has been named National Champions in Division III by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.

The national title caps an undefeated season that included winning the state community college championship against Cosumnes River College, December 6 in Sacramento.

The Hawks, under head coach Ian Woodhead, earned a record of 23-0-2, and were ranked first in the nation for the final three weeks of the regular season NSCAA polls.

Santiago Canyon College is a public community college of Rancho Santiago Community College District, serving the residents of Anaheim Hills, Orange, Tustin and Villa Park. The college provides education for academic transfer and careers, courses for personal and professional development, and customized training for business and industry.
