CTE Transitions

Welcome to the Career and Technical Education (CTE) Transitions Program at Santiago Canyon College (SCC).

The CTE Transitions Program helps high school students navigate a smoother, more efficient pathway from high school to college to careers.

SCC’s CTE Transitions Program is a cooperative project that is committed to working with local high schools, school districts, adult education centers, and regional occupational programs to promote students’ access to higher education. This program gives high school students the opportunity to receive SCC credit for selected ROP high school coursework through articulation.

Articulation is a planned process that links high schools with SCC to facilitate a smooth transition for students from one course, program, or educational level to the next while minimizing or eliminating course repetition. This gives students a great jumpstart on college, saving time and money — and getting students into their chosen careers faster. Because students are studying material that is relevant to a specific career, they are more motivated to stay in school and study.
