The Counseling Department offers counseling classes that provide students an opportunity to discover their interests, values, personality and skills. These courses allow students to learn more about themselves as they explore careers and majors and to develop comprehensive student education plans to help them reach their educational goals.

The Social Work and Human Services Associate in Arts Degree for Transfer provides an interdisciplinary exploration of courses and content that prepares students to transfer to a four year university as either Social Work or Human Services majors. This program allows students to blend theory with fieldwork experience while incorporating critical thinking and self-exploration. Successful completion of this degree will guarantee admission to a California State University that has a similar degree program, but not to a particular campus, and allow students to complete a bachelor's degree. Students are strongly encouraged to meet with a counselor to discuss transfer options.
