Enrique Perez, J.D. was recently appointed Interim President of Santiago Canyon college (SCC), effective July 25, 2022. He will serve until the search for the college's permanent president is completed and the new president assumes office. The permanent position recruitment bulletin has been posted and the new president is expected to start January 2023.
Mr. Perez has served the district for more than 20 years, joining Rancho Santiago Community College District (RSCCD) in July 2000. He has served in several districtwide leadership roles and currently serves as the district's vice chancellor of educational services where he leads a division that works with both our colleges on enrollment management, institutional effectiveness, strategic planning and research, resource development, information technology, and public affairs and marketing. Mr. Perez has worked in our community for over 27 years and serves on various boards which have strengthened RSCCD's relationships and partnerships in the communities we serve.
Through his work as vice chancellor of educational services, Mr. Perez brings a profound understanding of SCC's current opportunities and challenges, and as interim president, he will work with all college stakeholders to face those challenges and take advantage of ongoing exciting opportunities. During his term, Mr. Perez will be an active presence on campus and in the community in order to advance SCC's mission.
