Ten Reasons
1.
You Matter
Smaller class sizes and a close-knit campus community means that you are treated like a person and not a number.
Our award-winning faculty and dedicated staff make promoting student academic development, achievement, and
success their priority.
2. Great Location
Our location on a picturesque, safe 82-acre site provides students with the best of both worlds a
tranquil setting and the conveniences of modern facilities like our new, state-of-the-art Library. Our
location near major freeways, toll roads, and public transportation routes, provides easy access to the
campus and all it has to offer.
3. Flexible Learning Options
Our schedule of classes is very adaptable for students who have busy
work schedules or family responsibilities. Courses are available during the day, in the evening, on the
weekend, on campus, at off-campus locations, and via Internet. Our unique academic calendar allows you
to spend the summer or the month of January concentrating on just
one or two courses.
4. Vibrant Campus Life
We believe the hours spent outside the classroom are as important as those spent inside the classroom.
There are plenty of clubs to join and numerous recreational, cultural, and educational events to attend
throughout the year. No matter what your interest, we offer an outstanding array of activities for
relaxation and personal growth.
5.
Guaranteed Transfer Programs
You can complete your general education requirements and prerequisites before transferring to most major California four-year universities. Successful participation in our Honors Program, the UC Transfer Admission Guarantee, and/or a CSU Associate Degree for Transfer will ensure you priority admission or guaranteed enrollment at many California universities.
6.
Broad Career Choices
Our career training and certificate programs are responsive to marketplace demands. Some
programs are unique and not available anywhere else. Our location in the Orange County/Los Angeles
metropolitan area enhances our students' chance of work at top-notch companies with some of the
highest reputations in their industries.
7.
Extra Help If You Need It
We are committed to your success. Within the challenge of your academic program, you will find the
support you need to succeed. Our counseling center provides academic ad career advising, and
resource centers offer individual assistance in reading, writing, math, and academic computing. The
success of students with disabilities is addressed through programs and services that promote access,
equal opportunity, and empowerment.
8.
A Great Place to Compete
Our athletics program is an integral part of the student experience. We offer varsity athletic competition
in a variety of sports as a member of the Orange Empire Conference (OEC). Our athletic teams have
captured numerous awards, including the 2006 OEC and California State Women's Soccer Championship,
and the 2007 OEC Women's Golf Championship.
9.
Gain New Perspectives
Students of all ages and backgrounds comprise a energetic learning community and enjoy
excellent educational opportunities on our campus. The intercultural benefits from our Study
Abroad Program and the insights into contemporary international
diplomacy of our Model United
Nations Program continue to impact participants' lives long after they leave the college.
10.
It's Affordable
As a public community college, we are one of the great bargains in higher education. Reasonable
fees, scholarships, grants, and need-based financial aid insure an affordable education for all
members of our communities.
