Paws for Stress Relief

Paws logo
In 2011, Dr. Campitelli-Smith from Psychological Services developed the Paws for Stress Relief program at SCC to provide therapy animals for exam stress relief during finals week.  Research shows that petting an animal can significantly decrease stress hormones, improve mood, and bolster wellbeing.  Students can enjoy some furry fun playing with trained and certified therapy animals including dogs, rabbits, and guinea pigs.
Paws for Stress Relief occurs every semester during finals week.  Watch for flyers on campus and take a break from the dog-eat-dog world of final exams with Paws for Stress Relief!
