Welcome Parents & Guardians

The SCC Foundation recognizes that you as a parent or guardian are an important partner with SCC in ensuring your child’s academic success and transition to independent adulthood. SCC’s Student Services Office has a comprehensive website that can help you understand what resources are available to your child, so that you can offer gentle guidance if needed to make sure he or she takes advantage of the many resources available. Please click here to access the Student Services Portal to find out more.

In addition, we believe that our parents and guardians are an integral part of the SCC community and can help foster a vibrant campus atmosphere by becoming involved in the campus. That involvement can take many forms, including (but certainly not limited to):

  • Attending a student athletic event
  • Registering for the annual fundraising golf tournament
  • Attending the spring or fall Performing Arts Showcase
  • Becoming a “Friend of the Library”
  • Attending the International Film Festival in the spring
  • Supporting an Associated Student Government (ASG) or other fundraising event
  • Taking a community service class

There are myriad other ways you can get involved at Santiago Canyon College.  As a community college, SCC is a resource for you as well as for your student. We invite you to peruse the navigation panel to the left to learn more about on-campus activities and events.
