You understand course assessment, but what about this program part? This workshop will help you understand the relationship between course and program assessment and answer your questions about this part of the assessment process. We will explain, and give examples, of the program assessment report and submission process. This is a crash course in program assessment for beginners and experienced faculty, too.

Help Is On The Way - Simplify Your Assessment Reporting - Presented by the Office of Institutional Effeectiveness and Assessment. Wednesday, January 23, 2013, 3:30-4:30 p.m., Room D-209.
The Scantron Par System can assist you in analyzing your SLO assessments. It can analyze test outcomes and create reports so that you can review the results and make decisions and changes based on results. It will facilitate classroom assessment, making it easier to collect and analyze data. Your course assessment can be automated so you don’t have to do it manually. It’s the end of the cross-hatch. Come for an introduction to this new, very helpful tool.

How to Make Assessment More Meaningful - Presented by: Debbie Brooks, Nahla El Said, Cindy Swift, Denise Foley, and Kay Powell. Tuesday, January 22, 2012, 3:30-4:30 p.m.
The Science Departments participated in a Faculty Inquiry Group to find answers to assessment questions and issues. One department was comfortable with course assessment, but wanted to find out how to assess their program, another needed answers about labs, and another needed a way to incorporate the informal assessment they knew was working with new assessment guidelines. Find out how they got their answers and if a Faculty Inquiry Group would be beneficial for you and for your department.
