Board of Governors Fee Waiver

$46 per unit fee may be waived for eligible California residents. If you aren't eligible based on this simple form, please fill out the FAFSA application (see Form #7)

Certification Add / Drop Form 

 

If you're going to drop or add a class on your educational plan, fill this form out and turn it in to the SCC Veterans Service Office (VSO)

 Certification Request Form

Submitted to the VSO every term to request certification.

College Tuition Fee Waiver for Veteran Dependents 

Submit the application to your local County Veterans Service Office. Once students receive letter of approval from the VA, submit to the SCC VSO for processing.

 DD214

A DD214 is the official Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty. If you do not have your DD214, you may request a copy from the National Archives or from E-Benefits.

 Educational Plans

 Obtained from the SCC Counseling Office. Call for an appointment: 1-714-628-4800. Educational Plans must be submitted by student to VSO when requesting to use VA education benefits.

FAFSA

Free Application for Federal Student Aid applies students for federal and state aid, including grants, loans, and the Board of Governors Fee Waiver. Must be submitted every academic year.

Once submitted online, students should follow up with the SCC Financial Aid Office for processing.

For students requesting certification for VA payment at another institution while concurrently attending SCC as the "parent school."

Priority Registration Request Form

Priority registration is available for active members of the Armed Forces of the United States or former members who have been discharged within the last 15 years of the day before classes begin.

VonApp

 Initial application for VA Educational Benefits. The VonApp must be submitted to the VA listing SCC as your college prior to certification.
