Faculty Excellence Award Winner to Speak Nov. 19

Orange—Professor Rick Adams, a member of the Santiago Canyon College English Department faculty, will present a lecture on “Pygmalion vs. Michelangelo: The Ethos of Teacher as Artist” on Nov. 19.

Adams is the recipient of the 2009 Faculty Excellence Award, which requires the faculty member to present a public lecture about his or her teaching.  Adams joined the SCC faculty in 2001.  He holds degrees from the University of California-Berkeley, Fuller Theological Seminary, and California State University-Los Angeles.

Adams will speak Thursday, Nov. 19, at 1:30 p.m. in room E-203 on the SCC campus in Orange.  The public is invited to attend.
