1. Students should demonstrate a basic knowledge of political institutions and processes of American Government.
2. Students should demonstrate a knowledge of political theory, comparative political systems and international politics.
3. Students should demonstrate a basic knowledge of political science research methods.
4. Students should demonstrate critical thinking skills and be able to formulate a thesis in a written and/or oral format.
5. Students should demonstrate how individuals, by applying their political science skills, can make a difference in their local communities.
