Pathways to Teaching - Program/Participants

About the Teaching Profession

Teaching is one of the most rewarding professions in today's society.  Teachers are indispensable elements in educating the professionals of the future.

In education, teachers are leaders, providing students with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to become successful and productive citizens.  Currently, the job outlook for credentialed teachers has never been brighter. It is estimated that over the next decade, California public schools will need to hire 195,000 new teachers.

Santiago Canyon College (SCC) offers a variety of opportunities for students interested in pursuing an education leading to the teaching profession, from beginning subject matter preparation programs, to counseling, financial aid, transfer services, and various outreach activities.

Our Commitment to Your Success
