Jimmy ObledaHead Coach
Coach Jimmy Obleda is entering his first season as head coach for the Santiago Canyon College Men's Soccer Program. Jimmy Obleda brings a wealth of experience as both a player and coach to the Hawks Soccer Program.
As a player, Jimmy Obleda signed his first professional contract at the age of 17 for Danubio Futbol Club of the Uruguayan First Division. He continued his professional career for eight years playing in South America, Europe and the United States.
Considered as one of the top youth coaches in the country, Jimmy Obleda success as a coach speaks for itself. As a Director of Coaching and Player Development for the Fullerton Rangers for 13 years, Jimmy Obleda took a small local club and build it into a nationally recognized powerhouse. During his time he produced some of the top youth players in the country for U.S. youth national teams, professional teams and universities. He has managed to send over 200 student/athletes to play at the university/college levels. Jimmy Obleda has won numerous league, state and regional titles but no title is more significant than the 2011/2012 Back to Back USYSA National and Dallas Cup titles. To this day, he is the only coach in U.S. youth soccer history to accomplish this feat.
Currently, Jimmy Obleda is the Director of Coaching and Player Development for Boca Juniors Orange County, where he coaches the national ranked B02 White and B07 White teams
Coach Obleda's coaching experience also reaches the professional level, having coached Deportivo Coras USA of Riverside during the 2016 season, qualifying the team to the NPSL playoffs.
In 2011, Jimmy was named Regional Youth Coach of the Year as well as National Youth Coach of the Year by the NSCAA. In 2012, Jimmy was named 2012 Cal-South Nike Coach of the Year. Jimmy Obleda holds a U.S.S.F. A License. Additionally, he has been a Region IV Assistant Coach. He is presently a Coaching Education Instructor for Cal-South and US Soccer and is a member of the Cal-South Technical Committee.
Jimmy holds a B.A. in Child Development and an M.A. in Cross-Cultural Development and will be starting his M.A. in Kinesiology in the fall.
Jimmy Obleda lives in Orange with his wife Allison and three kids, Kayla, Jackson, and James.
Coach Abraham Jacinto is entering his first season as an assistant coach for the Santiago Canyon College Men's Soccer Program Abraham played for the Hawk's soccer program during the 2006 season. In addition to his collegiate experience, Abraham played in the Premier Development and National Premier Soccer Leagues.
Coach Abraham also serves as the Technical Director for Boca Juniors Orange County and holds a USSF National C License. Abraham was a staff coach at the Fullerton Rangers and also served as an assistant coach at Fullerton College.
Abraham is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology at California State University, Fullerton.
